Do I need a finished CAD file?

No. You can begin with a usable CAD file, a sketch, measurements, photos, a non-confidential reference part, or simply the operating problem. Design scope is quoted separately when needed.

What quantities make sense?

Prototypes and short, repeatable batches are the strongest fit. Part size, material, finish, inspection needs, and machine time determine whether a requested quantity is practical.

What should I include in the first message?

Describe the use, approximate dimensions, environment, target quantity, timing, and what success means. Note any fit, load, temperature, chemical, UV, appearance, or regulatory requirements.

Can we discuss confidential work?

Yes, but do not send proprietary, export-controlled, or confidential details in the first website form. Start with a non-confidential summary so both sides can agree on the right handling process.
